With 30+ years of combined hospitality experience at some of Melbourne’s iconic wine bars and restaurants, they’ve tasted some of the world’s best wines. With this in mind, they’ve turned their hands to winemaking. At the core of their wines are flavour, texture and enjoyment. Each Fleet Wine speaks of both place and variety. Each wine captures a fleeting moment in time, made by two intrinsic wine and food pros chasing flavour and vibrancy.
2022 FLEET ‘CHORUS’ PINOT NOIR ETC – LEONGATHA, SOUTH GIPPSLAND, VIC
Inspired by viewing the vineyard as a whole and letting the varieties come together and sing… much like that hook in a song that keeps you coming back! A red wine built on texture and freshness that is modelled on finding a really pleasurable experience of place regardless of the variety. Made with all three varietals grown in the vineyard; Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah. Each variety has an influence but works in harmony with the others. 50% Pinot Noir, destemmed and fermented on skins for 18 days before being matured in neutral oak. 25% whole bunch pressed Chardonnay. 25% Syrah. Grown at our Leongatha vineyard. Northern facing rows, east facing slope. 33 year old vines.
‘Bright cherry, earthy, herbal/brambly aromatics, bright lifted wild raspberries, sappy/crunchy texture, silty/fine tannins. It has understated weight and texture. It’s an endlessly interesting wine that leaves you wanting more.’
2022 FLEET ‘LICHEN’ SYRAH – YARRA VALLEY, VIC
This 2022 Fleet Yarra Valley Syrah is vibrant and earthy. Fresh, juicy plummy fruits lifted by a heady mix of florals and long ripe fruit. 100% destemmed Syrah fruit. 14 day ferment in open top fermenter. Maturation in neutral hogs heads. Vine age 31 years, own roots from the Seville Hill vineyard, Seville.
Bright purple hue, heady spices – anise, lifted cassis, white pepper, juicy/fleshy core, silty tannins that weave through the wine, elegant, medium bodied and moreish!
2022 FLEET ‘LICHEN LABEL’ SYRAH ROSÉ YARRA VALLEY
Savoury and subtly spiced. Made for drinking in the sun! This is 100% Syrah Rosé. Fruit was sourced from 30 (approx.) year old own rooted Syrah vines from the Coldstream sub-region of the Yarra Valley. Stainless steel fermented to retain line and freshness. A short elevage on lees followed to build texture. The wine shows excellent weight and concentration, with a fine lien of acidity keeping everything in its right place. Rosé that is kept simple, revealing proper fruit quality. ‘Dusty pale pink colour, aromas of fresh strawberry, red currants, hint of herbal spice. Palate is fine and savoury, textural, with a dry crisp finish
2022 FLEET ‘ELEVATE’ PINOT NOIR / PINOT GRIS – MORNINGTON PENINSULA, VIC
A blend of related grape varieties, that remains unconventional. 80% Pinot Noir (destemmed), 20% Pinot Gris (whole bunch pressed). Pressed into neutral oak. Assemblage post-malo & barrel maturation. Fruit from Dunns Creek in Red Hill – Mornington Peninsula. North facing rows and slope planted 23 years ago.

2023 FLEET SOUTH GIPPSLAND PINOT NOIR - SOUTH GIPPSLAND, VIC
Aromatic & Fun This 2022 Fleet Gippsland Pinot is bright, energetic and fresh. Seriously low yields from this harvest so get in quick! ‘Bright cherry red in colour, vibrant nose, red fruits, blood plum, cranberries, herbal spice. Fleshy core, earthy palate with a savoury finish with silky, slippery tannins.’
2022 FLEET ‘GLEN FORBES’ CHARDONNAY - SOUTH GIPPSLAND, VIC
Fleet Wines make such pristine wines with plenty of character. The Glen Forbes Chardonnay has plenty of character, hints of cardamom pod, cashew and honeysuckle. The palate has a lovely texture with tones of nectarine, yellow apple and preserved lemon. Delicious!

In 2016, the couple returned to South Gippsland where Justin grew up, to make wine. The name Fleet is born from the couple’s openness in sourcing grapes from further afield. Working with tiny amounts, these wines are celebrated for being of the moment, and speak of both place and variety. Each wine captures a ‘fleeting’ moment in time, made by two intrinsic wine and food pros chasing flavour and vibrancy. Each Fleet release is exciting, and often a little unpredictable… What is always guaranteed is that the wines will be deliciously pure and fun, and over-deliver on personality!

Bright pale lemon colour, white stone fruits, smoky/grilled cashews, wet stone & moss . Citrus backbone, slate – like/mineral line and salivating length.
2022 FLEET ‘SEVILLE’ SYRAH - YARRA VALLEY, VIC
The Seville region in the Yarra Valley is so suited to growing poised, blue-fruited, vibrant Syrah. Grown in a wonderful, dry-grown 30 year-old vineyard, on red volcanic basalt soils.
‘Bright Cassis colour, lifted florals, ripe plums and Szechaun spice on the nose. A fine and elegant wine, with hallmarks of a lovely cool vintage. Poised and long.’
2022 FLEET ‘CHORUS’ NOIR CHARD SYRAH - SOUTH GIPPSLAND, VIC
A fantastic representation of a true vineyard blend that is more than the sum of parts. Made of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah, the Chorus lifts with wild raspberry, a crunchy texture and a wash of fine tannins all in harmony.
2024 FLEET SKIN CONTACT PINOT GRIS - WHITLANDS, VIC
A bold and intriguing take on Pinot Gris, showcasing the unique character of the Whitlands region. The nose offers a blend of orange peel, dried apricot, and a touch of aromatic spice, with underlying floral and herbal notes. On the palate, it’s textural and slightly unfiltered, with flavors of ripe pear, honeydew melon, and subtle hints of tea leaf and ginger. The skin contact imparts a slight tannic grip and adds depth, with bright acidity leading to a refreshing, slightly tannic finish. Ideal for pairing with rich cheeses, grilled vegetables, or Asian-inspired dishes.
2024 FLEET SYRAH ROSE - SOUTH GIPPSLAND, VIC
A vibrant and expressive Syrah Rosé, full of fresh fruit character and regional flair. The nose bursts with aromas of ripe strawberries, red cherries, and a hint of raspberry sorbet, complemented by subtle floral and spice undertones. On the palate, it’s dry and refreshing, with flavors of juicy red berries, watermelon, and a touch of citrus zest. Crisp acidity and a delicate minerality add balance, leading to a clean, thirst-quenching finish. Perfect for light seafood dishes, fresh salads, or enjoyed on its own as a refreshing aperitif.
2024 FLEET SOUTH GIPPSLAND PINOT MEUNIER - WHITLANDS, VIC
An intriguing and fresh Pinot Meunier that highlights the cool-climate character of Whitlands. The nose is aromatic with lively notes of red berries, including strawberry and raspberry, layered with a touch of earthy spice and a hint of floral sweetness. On the palate, it’s light to medium-bodied, offering juicy flavors of red cherry, cranberry, and subtle citrus zest. The wine has vibrant acidity and a fine, soft texture, leading to a clean, refreshing finish with a hint of minerality. Perfect for pairing with charcuterie, roast chicken, or light seafood dishes.
