Founded in 1980 by Romano Marengo, Ca’Rome’ is a family-run winery built on passion, tradition, and quality. After 30 years in the wine industry, Romano realized his dream, now carried forward by his children Giuseppe (Pino), Paola, and Maria, alongside his wife Olimpia.

The estate’s vineyards, located in Barbaresco and Serralunga d’Alba, produce DOC and DOCG wines crafted with care. Giuseppe oversees winemaking and vineyard management, blending tradition with modern innovation. Paola drives sales and communication, passionately sharing the family’s values, while Olimpia embodies the heart of the winery, ensuring its heritage remains strong.

2018/9 BARBARESCO ‘CHIARAMANTI’

The 2018 Barbaresco Chiaramanti is a soft, fruity wine to drink now and over the next decade. Succulent red cherry, red plum, cedar, spice and rose petal all meld together as this sensual inviting Barbaresco reveals its charms. All the elements are so nicely balanced.

2018/9 BARBARESCO ‘RIO SORDO’

The 2018 Barbaresco Rio Sordo is ample and creamy in feel. The fruit is a bit darker than in the Chiaramanti, while the presence of oak is greater as well. Black cherry, leather, spice, tobacco and menthol lend notable complexity. This is an especially virile Rio Sordo, but all the elements come together very nicely.

2018 BARBARESCO ‘MARIA DI BRÜN’

Garnet red in color. Complex and ample nose with aromas of violet and underbrush. Full, velvety and very balanced.

Because of its structure and body, it pairs well with meat, game and cheese.
