In the past four years, 8 hectares dedicated to Noelia Ricci have transitioned to fully sustainable farming, first through integrated practices and now biodynamic methods using only organic fertilizers and natural pest control. As winemaker Francesco Bordini emphasizes, nature takes time, and 2016 marked the first truly natural vintage.

The results speak for themselves—Godenza Cru Sangiovese was among just six Sangiovese di Romagna wines to win Tre Bicchieri in Gambero Rosso’s 2017 guide, following Il Sangiovese’s win the year before. With growing international acclaim and increasing recognition from Italy’s top wine critics, Noelia Ricci and Emilia Romagna are proving their place on the global wine stage.
